Vi f\u00e5r ocks\u00e5 en chans att se lite grann av det vackra toskanska landskapet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi b\u00f6rjar dagen med att bes\u00f6ka&nbsp;<strong>San Gimignano<\/strong>&nbsp;som \u00e4r k\u00e4nt f\u00f6r sina&nbsp;<strong>medeltida<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>tornhus<\/strong>. Idag bor det inte fler \u00e4n tusen inv\u00e5nare innanf\u00f6r murarna, men under de senaste decennierna har byn utvecklats och satsat mycket p\u00e5 att locka hit konstn\u00e4rer och hantverkare. H\u00e4r tittar vi lite n\u00e4rmare p\u00e5&nbsp;<strong>Piazza della Cisterna<\/strong>&nbsp;och&nbsp;<strong>Piazza della Collegiata&nbsp;<\/strong>och vi hinner ocks\u00e5 med att njuta av den vackra utsikten, shoppa i aff\u00e4rer, kanske prova glassen p\u00e5 den v\u00e4rldsber\u00f6mda<strong> glassbaren&nbsp;Dondoli<\/strong> eller dricka ett glas <strong>Vernaccia di San Gimignano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Il Palio \u00e4r mycket mer \u00e4n en folkfest i Siena<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi forts\u00e4tter d\u00e4refter till&nbsp;<strong>Siena<\/strong>, l\u00e4nge en av Florens st\u00f6rsta rivaler.&nbsp;Vi bes\u00f6ker den fina <strong>San Domenico kyrkan<\/strong>, det sn\u00e4ckformade torget&nbsp;<strong>Il Campo&nbsp;<\/strong>med det h\u00f6ga r\u00e5dhustornet&nbsp;<strong>Il Mangia&nbsp;<\/strong>och vi beundrar den vackra gotiska&nbsp;<strong>Katedralen<\/strong> med konstverk av&nbsp;<strong>Michelangelo, Donatello<\/strong> och <strong>Gian Lorenzo Bernini<\/strong>. Redan den makal\u00f6sa marmorfasaden v\u00e4cker v\u00e5rt intresse och kanske \u00e4r Sienas katedral en av de vackraste i v\u00e4rlden tack vare den uts\u00f6kta golvdekorationen samt inte att f\u00f6rgl\u00f6mma det lilla <strong>Piccolomini-biblioteket<\/strong> som m\u00e5lades av <strong>Pinturicchio<\/strong> i b\u00f6rjan av 1500-talet med scener fr\u00e5n Silvio Enea Piccolominis liv, mer bekant som p\u00e5ve Pius II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De flesta \u00e4r bekanta med Siena tack vare de ber\u00f6mda h\u00e4stkappl\u00f6pningarna, il&nbsp;<strong>Palio<\/strong>. Tv\u00e5 g\u00e5nger om \u00e5ret, den <strong>2 juli<\/strong> och den <strong>16 augusti<\/strong>, stannar livet upp i Siena, men redan veckorna innan b\u00f6rjar f\u00f6rberedelserna p\u00e5 torget Il Campo d\u00e4r h\u00e4stkappl\u00f6pningarna g\u00e5r av stapeln.
